California asks the federal government to reclassify marijuana
California’s state legislature recently approved a joint resolution urging the Federal Government and the Congress to remove marijuana from Schedule I drug. This is part of an ongoing push towards encouraging more research into the medical uses of marijuana. Reclassifying marijuana from the Schedule I (which includes other drugs like heroin, LSD and cocaine) could allow legal means to do more research on its usefulness for many patients.
